Can someone tell me please how many are released per month, also do they all get released at once or in batches?

I've been told they release 500 at the beginning of the month and 500 in the middle of the month. -

What is the purpose of releasing in batches exactly, is there something I'm missing?
If items are limited, doesn't that promote muling as there is more of an incentive to store gold on multiple accounts?
Seems a bit of a silly feature to have in the game, and also one that isn't very well explained. Olly is just sat there taunting everyone in the catalogue until the 15th, giving mulers more time to prepare for the next drop.Comment

I was in a mission space on Friday, minding my own business, when a random dude showed up and asked if I could buy Olly for him and he offered to buy it from me for 6k. I declined because I was skeptical and wary about a possible scam. I figured that there must be a limit on how much can be bought from a single account or something. I vaguely remember there being a 2-per-account limit on OG SW, but not sure whether the limit was on buying or owning.
On a side note, it's disappointing that SV didn't go in another direction for monthly collectibles. This whole dressing up as an animal thing is played out and a bit boring now. Would have been nice for SV to establish its own unique status symbols but instead we just have old players chasing the same dream from 10 years ago sigh. Almost every one is super rare-conscious and is obsessed with buying for investment purposes rather than because they genuinely like something. It's sad really because the prices are insane for items that are not truly rare to find for sale at all

Also hard agree for me. I never owned a snow fox in SW, and it doesn't look like I'll get the opportunity to here either. What is really sad and concerning to me is seeing everything with a yellow "R" on it and prices skyrocketing faster than the speed of light. Really takes a chunk of enjoyment from the game, but I guess I can look at it and appreciate the aspects of the game that I can still enjoy. I'm personally unsure why there aren't limits on the monthly collectables.I was in a mission space on Friday, minding my own business, when a random dude showed up and asked if I could buy Olly for him and he offered to buy it from me for 6k.
