I know a handful of us are 30+ But in my previous research about this, I learned most stay hidden because of the very present ageism on this game - Same thing we dealt with on SW when we were their age

I am of the older generation and OG on the SW as well.. but to be honest, I really miss the game and ability to do your own missions for a cause or just for fun. I miss the interaction of everyone in the mission world and the art world. HUGS! Us older ones generally do not like the drama.

I have come across quite a few older players that I knew on SW and are on my friends list. They are in the same places doing what they used to back then. Most are creative so they will be among the art, sculpting and mission making communities, tucked away in a locked space being creative or their galleries.

For the younger players, (under 30) many of them are in public spaces or hopping shops or sales.

For the most part if I logged in, I’d be in my studio sculpting or in a locked space creating a mission. I’ve always hid away to stay away from the drama, even on the old game. These days, I just come in to check stock.

Sadly, there is still some toxicity to want to avoid. I was on my alt the other day doing missions for my loyalties only to be shot by another player because the task updated for me and not for him and in addition to that, the player who was with him was putting me down because my account wasn’t VIP. This is a good reason why we hide away, or I do anyway.

God, so there is ageism on here? I haven't experienced it myself, but I've been on SV for 2 months now (old SW player) and I haven't had a conversation with anyone. I try to avoid other players because I'm so afraid of being judged or bullied for being a non-VIP noob, which is RIDICULOUS. I am 25 already, why do I have social anxiety of an elementary kid? It is reassuring to hear there are other grown up players here and hopefully we'll get to get to know each other in a judgement free zone.

I'm 26 and I am glad someone feels the same as me haha, I feel too shy to say hello to anybody!! I can't even remember how to make gold but I am too afraid to ask anyone LOL. Hearing from this thread that there is drama and ageism going on has made me feel even more shy for no rational reason

Geno doesn't hang out too much in the public areas. I'm afraid I don't relate too well with uhhh..."younger" peeps. I do have a few friends on SV who also played SW. They are very relatable shire folks Who don't judge me for being a "ginger". (just kidding about the "ginger" part)
I have made an attempt or two to visit some spaces where there were a few peeps. Maybe us 30+ crowd should start a group?

I'm just a few years shy of the 30+ club myself, but even I feel this! But I think there's a very clear divide among players between the "creatives" and "not so creatives." I'm an old soul though, so I definitely connect more with the people commenting here haha!
