I'm 26 and I am glad someone feels the same as me haha, I feel too shy to say hello to anybody!! I can't even remember how to make gold but I am too afraid to ask anyone LOL. Hearing from this thread that there is drama and ageism going on has made me feel even more shy for no rational reason

I also feel shy to introduce myself to anybody! I just feel awkward about it because to me it feels like I'm intruding in their conversation if that makes sense I haven't experienced any ageism yet but the few friends I have made so far are all around my age (I'm 25).

there is a lot of older people who play, like said previous a lot of those people are creative so they are doing their thing in various spaces, back in SW we had a group called Big kids in a small world, all us older folks used to meet up every so often and hang out, or help out with missions, have competitions or teach each other how to do things, if i recall we had a session once where Chief Beachbum taught us a lot about interactions for missions and silly things.

Perhaps, it is time someone create a new group for us to join in the game

Especially, for those who are not involved in the art scene (as many of them already have their friend groups), and, instead, for those more focused on mission-making, mission-running, crafting etc. A lot of time spent making or running a mission is done independently. I look forward to seeing more responses and different opinions.

There is a space set up for the mission community. Mission Makers Mission Exchange.
There is a mission space, in world chat and a private store to sell each other extra items at hopefully and most often a much cheaper price then can be found anywhere.
I had hoped to build a community and have things like contests, featured missions of the month that we all bombard with plays

Wish I could say it was more active ... but many seem to prefer staying to themselves.

I love the idea of a new TAO group, I wasn't quite old enough when SW was around. I should add that the ageism I've experienced has mostly been on player-led discord groups, and not in the actual game. Like others have said, I'm creative and so usually painting, making missions, or with folks who do the same.

First day here. Started in 2008. 24 now. After all those years reminiscing watching SW gameplay videos on Youtube, I can't believe I didn't know about this 'til today. I've spent the last 2 hours saying 'wow' at basically every feature and how nostalgic it has me. All that to say, add me, say hi! I'd love to share this utter shock with somebody.
