off topic

sorry if this has been requested before
but I was wondering would anybody be interested in bringing back "off topic" to the forums, or possibly some sort of off topic discussion space in the discord. i know the forums aren't massively active but i remember back in sw i could (embarrassingly) spend hours chatting to people in the off topic section of the forums! and then lots of those friendships transferred into the game

also i was trying to find a search function in the forums to check if anyone else had asked this but couldn't find one. either i am missing it or maybe adding a search function could be useful too?

I miss the swamp that was Offworld Discussion! It would be wonderful it it could return. I was also a troublemaker back in the day .

I did post a thread about a search function.. but given that this is non-existent, it would be insane to expect people to flip through pages to make sure they don't post a duplicate thread!

YES! I miss Offworld Discussion. It grew into quite the little community and was one of the first things I looked for when I joined SV.

Likewise! It's a great way to discuss cool topics unfettered. I enjoy making friends through conversation that isn't forced- I think the downside of a "Meet Friends" section is that there's undue pressure! It would be fun to discuss movies, music, gardening, etc. without being concerned about strict parameters.

We like to keep Forum discussions respectful, constructive, and focused on SmallVerse-related topics. This helps ensure that the Forum remains a useful resource for players seeking information, sharing feedback, and discussing the game itself, which is why an off-topic section has not been introduced thus far.

We'll continue to monitor the growth of the Forum and the demand for this type of section. If our team determines that it would be beneficial to the community, we'll be sure to let everyone know.
