Forum Search Function

The forums could be greatly improved if there was a search function. I'm not sure why this is available on individual posts, but not the forum as a whole. As it stands right now, the forums are a bit tedious to navigate. A search function would make it much easier to engage with!

Agreed - I'm seeing the forum moderation team merge a lot of threads as the topics are similar but at the moment, there's no easy way to see if your forum thread topic has been posted about already or not. It would save the forum moderation team a lot of time as they would have to merge less topics and players could get answers or interact with topics a lot easier too. Sort of strange that it's not already been implemented; most forums have a search function to search for specific topics.

Speaking for myself. I generally make a point of scrolling through forums before posting to see if there are already subjects related to whatever is in my head at the moment LOL
Believe me, the last thing I want to do is step on anyone's toes or take anything away from them.
But I only got back a couple "pages" and it gets tedious .. especially in the areas where more is posted .. something a week or two ago, can be pages back.

Quite honestly, I don't go beyond 1 or 2 pages to see if there is a duplicate topic- that's so time consuming!! It would make it easier on users AND the moderation team if this were implemented!

Yes Yes Yes! Please! It irritates me when I try to look through the forum with the current setup, and the search button within individual posts is mostly useless. I don't know why they added it there but didn't bother to add it to the overall forum.

This needs to be implemented ASAP because using the Forums feels so ancient. More people will use forums if they sort their search function. This would also stop people from creating duplicate topics.

To add to this, there is no way to go back to the page you were previously on except by going back on searches or clicking the previous section but then it takes you back to Page 1 and it's SO annoying.

Right! Back in the day, I usually had multiple tabs open while I participated in the forums. I can't do that anymore! (Lol and on this note, I'd love to get Offworld Discussion back!!)

This is my take on the situation as well- I'm sure other people have posted about this, but with no way to search the forums, I'm not going to spend time digging through pages!

PLEASE add a search feature!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is impossible to find anything and when support suggests to post on forum, they tell you to search for similar threads first. Just how the heck are we supposed to do that when we have umpteen million pages to go through?!
