    Fix Pool Tournament Farming Issue

The current tournament system rewards total wins, which makes it easy for players to farm the same opponent repeatedly, especially right after reset. This creates an unfair leaderboard that doesn’t reflect actual skill.

Limit how many wins count against the same player each week (ex: 3–5), or add diminishing returns so repeated matches give less value. This would encourage real competition instead of farming.

    Hi Teko,

Thank you for your suggestion! The current system tracks wins and losses rather than awarding points based on specific performance factors. I understand your reasoning and how the existing setup could allow for potential tournament manipulation and reward farming.

At the moment, this functionality is consistent across all similar widgets, so changing it would require a full rewrite of the tournament system. That said, we’re open to feedback, so if you have any specific ideas on how this could be improved within the current structure (other than the ones mentioned), feel free to share them.

    Thank you!

      Hi Mya,

Thanks for the response, I understand the limitation with the current system being shared across widgets.

The issue is specifically that repeated matches against the same player have unlimited value, since every win always counts the same.

Right now, that allows players to:
      • Play the same opponent back-to-back with no restriction
      • Stack wins through repetition or forfeits
      • Build most of their score from a single player
So the leaderboard ends up reflecting repetition rather than overall performance across different players.

Instead of changing how wins are calculated, maybe small checks could help:
      • Simple repeat limit: after a certain number of wins vs the same player in a short period, additional wins don’t count toward the tournament
      • Time-based spacing: wins against the same player only count if enough time has passed between matches
      • Forfeit safeguard: repeated quick forfeits from the same opponent don’t count
These wouldn’t change the core system (wins still = +1), just when a win is eligible to count.

The goal is not to restrict who people can play, but to prevent one player from being used to generate unlimited points.

Even a small restriction like this would go a long way in making the leaderboard feel more fair without needing a full system overhaul.

Appreciate you being open to feedback.
