Give more winners/prizes out for the Romantic Cottage Getaway competition

Congratulations to all the winners of the competition!

However, since there was a lot more participants than expected for this competition, I think there should be some more winners for it.

I visited a LOT of them and some of the spaces that paid close attention to detail, had interactions, had missions, had space pictures, had stories were completely overlooked in my opinion and I don't think there were enough winning spaces for them.

Please give out some extra prizes for the effort that was put in!

Completely agree. I think it's quite distasteful that so many high-effort entrants did not receive any reward for their participation. There has already been acknowledgment of a greater than usual volume of entries - I believe the prize pool should reflect this. Besides, this is a cost-heavy competition to partake in. Not offering any support or reward not only diminishes but negates any value in entering.

Completely agree!! Everyone did an amazing job, congratulations to the winners!! However, with the gold and time I spent on mine, I am disappointed with the outcome. I genuinely thought mine was original and fit the description for a romantic Valentine's cottage. Definitely should offer more prizes, considering the number of entries made. Don't think it'll be worth entering more comps from here on out.

Thank you for your feedback and suggestions regarding the Romantic Cottage Getaway contest. As there are multiple comments and suggestions on this thread, I will try to address all of them at once (as best as I can!). The judges said they had a really challenging time scoring because there were so many brilliant entries.

However, we will not be providing any additional prizes or participation rewards for this contest, for the reasons explored below. I understand this may be disappointing, particularly given the substantial effort many put into their entries.

How prize amounts are decided
Prizes are carefully decided for each contest by taking into account different factors, such as: the costs involved in taking part, the current economy, the value of the package rares included, past interest in contests and community feedback. For this contest increased the total prize pool and spread the available prizes across more winners based on community feedback. This resulted in a total prize pool of 525,000 Gold, 875,000 Tokens and five packages shared across 10 winners - this is a substantial amount for one contest with a much higher number of winners than previous contests. In future contests we could have more prizewinners if this is preferred by the community, however the prizes won by winners would then be reduced accordingly.

Changing prizes/rewards post-announcement
The number of winners and runner-up placements was determined before the competition began and clearly outlined in advance. To ensure fairness and consistency, prize allocations are not adjusted after results have been announced. Just as we would not reduce prizes if participation is lower than expected, we also do not increase them based on higher turnout. Keeping the prize structure fixed helps maintain fairness and transparency across all competitions.

Future contests
Your feedback remains an important part of our decision making, so I'd encourage you all to provide some suggestions on how we can improve prizes for future contests. For example, do you think it would be better if we provide lower prizes to more participants? If so, please do let us know! I will be closing this thread, so please provide all suggestions regarding prizes for future contests in the dedicated Events Suggestions thread. We are also considering conducting a poll to seek more specific feedback regarding prizes.
