      Personally I don't see why there is a cap? This is Smallverse - not a competitive shooter. Who cares if theres high shields? In the original Smallworlds many people (myself included) got high CL because we knew we could get more shields with it. A higher cap or uncap overall should definitely be considered. People would more likely be willing to invest into the game. The only reason I can think of is that they want players to gain shields through wears which must be bought from the store? So now everyone has the exact same items on and it just looks silly.

      There could also be either rare items/rewards (that you cannot sell) for hitting certain CL marks. This could be actual items or visual enhancements to avatars and/or the player card. Besides, things like this could literally be tested like how many other games do. Uncap or increase limits, turn off attribute reset cost (while players test) and see how it plays out for 1/2/3/4 weeks and then make an informed decision.
