I agree 100%. I feel like 1cl & 10cl weapons get through way more than 40 cl guns do. I as well feel like we should be able to use all of our attribute points, I'm not saying that we should be OP & blocking like the guardian lion even if we get that high but just so we won't be going negative when you're getting jumped by a bunch of people and still be able to keep the chances of breaking, possible.Comment

100% agree with a lot of what was said here. I recently doubled my CL because seemingly out of no where I was getting hit practically every time by weapons/spells. The shields should be 100% accurate, or extremely close to accurate. Since CL has no other purpose (excluding speed, of course), and we have to spend $ in order to get CL, it should just work.Comment

Hello all,
This is a topic we’ve received a lot of feedback on from both sides of the discussion. Previously, we adjusted shields because there were concerns that they were too powerful. More recently, we’ve heard feedback suggesting that they may not feel strong enough. We’ll need to continue weighing both perspectives as we review community input.
It’s important to note that shields are expected to break at times; however, they should not be breaking consistently without a clear reason, like going negative in a certain attribute.
At this time, we want to clarify that while we’ve heard requests to increase the CL shield cap, we will not be increasing it again right now, as it has already been adjusted once. We understand that CL is often purchased with shields in mind; however, purchases are made with the understanding that a cap exists. Any shields beyond that cap will remain unused or saved unless the team decides to increase the cap in the future.
I’ll be checking back on this thread at a later date to review any additional feedback and will share relevant insights with the team.

We understand the concern around caps, and to clarify, we are not asking for shields to be uncapped. We’re comfortable with a cap existing and agree that limits are important for balance. Our main concern is the current effectiveness of shields in practice. At the moment, they feel too fragile and inconsistent, especially when compared to how effective spells are. We would like to see shields made slightly stronger and more reliable, while also seeing the effectiveness of spells reduced. The goal isn’t to make shields overpowered again, but to restore a healthier balance where shields meaningfully mitigate damage without dominating, and spells don’t bypass or overwhelm them so easily. We appreciate the team continuing to review feedback and look forward to further discussion on finding that balance.Comment
