starve when we dont get food

we have enough edible food items but no use!..so make us starve when we dont get enough food...while starving we should be ill ..should be able to consult a doctor or should be hospitalised.
so in that way we can use hospitals also

This sounds interesting in theory, but would likely become annoying after a while. Maybe just add status effects to the different foods. Similar to the speed boost gained from drinking an energy drink.

That way, food serves more of a purpose, but isn't a requirement.

I agree with this. I would hate to have to eat or starve lol.
