Yes Please! If people can earn gold but don't trust using their card details online then the game can't just rule out people who can't spend $ because totally unfair, maybe they can just give us vip but with no Cl Points

I am with Nathan on this. Considering the fact that the amount of regular players still isn't that high, if half of them start buying vip with gold, there won't be enough people left to support the game with real money to run the servers, pay for the needed hardware and the electricity to keep it all going. Come on, this is a small enterprise, mainly run by people who just love the game and wanted to bring it back. They need the support of the players, not only morally but also money-wise.

I understand both replies and think maybe for the time being keep it so only way to get VIP is by real money purchase, but as more players join SV can then shift towards letting players buy VIP using in-game currency so it works for everyone Maybe instead of being restrictive find new ways to encourage purchases for support

Hi all!

Allowing players to purchase VIP with gold is something we're actively considering for the future. In the short term, however, the current system will remain in place.

Our internal discussions have centered around the idea of occasionally offering VIP for gold during limited-time windows. Whether or not these purchases would include Citizen Level points is still being discussed, since this option would be via gold purchase.

Nothing has been finalized yet, but we wanted to share what we can with the community for now. Once a decision is made, we'll be sure to communicate it.
