We can see when other players were last online so can we please get a confirmation when an in-world mail was opened/read?

Oh sure, because that's exactly what this game needs — another surveillance feature so you can obsess over whether your guildmate ignored your mail on purpose. We already gave you last-online timestamps and people used that to passive-aggressively stalk each other's login habits. Read receipts would just be round two of that same nonsense, except now it's "why did you read my message three days ago and not reply" energy in every inbox. Not everything needs a tracking indicator. Some of us would like to open our mail in peace without it turning into a performance review." -

I'd settle for just a stamp on the mail indicating that it was received and opened. It's frustrating to reach out to another player and to just never hear from them. We are forced to send friend requests before we can compose messages and I suspect that if they don't accept, then the message doesn't show up in their inbox at all. Some people automatically decline all friend requestsComment
