Change the Autosculpt Widget to Prevent Mistakes.

Key Features I think are worthwhile:
    • Change the default choice from "Limited" to "Unlimited"
This prevents players from accidentally making a limited run of sculptures. The vast majority intend to sell an unlimited quantity, so it should be the default.
    • Provide a small pop-up warning before cloning if the actual sculpture still uses the default name or description.
This is because naming the sculpture in the auto-sculpt widget (the title) does not rename the item's default name. This makes it harder for players to find Sculpture Stores if it isn't already in the description.

By implementing these changes, new sculptors won't make these common mistakes, and won't waste 1000's of gold when they are just getting started.

    Yes! Completely agree!!

To add onto this, it would be nice that if you have already made a sculpture unlimited that it stays unlimited, why do I have to press 'unlimited' every time, further risking limiting the sculpture. It would make more sense to only have to press 'limited' when ready to change it to a limited sculpture.

Similar thread that I made 3 weeks ago.

The selection to save as unlimited should be the default.

However, though I too noticed that providing a title within the autosculpt machine doesn’t change the default description. I think that we as sculptors need to pay more attention to the fine little details such as this one and not put it on Staff to correct for us. There is already a pop up that comes right before we copy sculpts so would this warning be in addition to it or include the details of what we name it as well? And how many of us actually take the time to READ that confirmation box? Genuine question.

Also, I’ve noticed a lot of sculptors don’t bother to uncheck the default sculpt button either so nearly every time I purchase one, I have to do this as the buyer. This annoys me since I feel that it contributes to unnecessary lag having to load it as a widget when a space loads (like a stereo) This and the amount of sculpts available to buy in a sculpt shop might be why the shops lag so much. So, even with these changes if they were to come to be, there would still be that issue and yet another correction sculptors may want staff to correct for when it should be the sculptor to check such things before making copies.

I also want to say that I’m not nit picking to disagree, I sculpt and sell my work as well, I just notice the rushed work of others making copies (though I can understand why possibly because the pain in restocking) as a buyer and then I have to correct sculpt titles and remove the default button myself before including them in my mission spaces. I think we as sculptors need to take the responsibility ourselves aside from that limited/unlimited copy selection. It is our work/art.

The details should be included in the same pop-up for sure. I think that for most people, the only manner in which they learn how things such as buttons, interactions, names, descriptions, etc, are copied onto sculptures is by accidentally noticing it on a sculpture that they have already cloned. This is an unreasonable expectation for someone who is newer to sculpting.

I find that even the default sculpt button is an astute observation, and one that a lot of sculptors may not have considered (I certainly didn't), especially because it is possible to disable that button via the Item Security, rather than disabling the button outright. A clearer pop-up or guide that actually explains the nuances of cloning a sculpture will give more players the opportunity to take responsibility.

For the sculpt button, I just figured that while a few might leave it for the buyer to view and appreciate the finer details of the sculpt, a majority probably just forget to uncheck the default because they are always entering and exiting the widget to work on it and provide more corrections after taking an outside view of it. Then accept it as finished and get excited about completing it and make copies without thinking about removing the sculpt button.

Just forgetting this detail inconveniences the buyer. Setting the security doesn’t fix it since it is still there for the buyer to remove. Though it leaves it to their discretion, it is still something they may not want to partake in. Idk how many buyers actually want to enter the sculpture vs those more interested in a sculpture for its outside view and what it can provide for a space. If it were sculpted art, like a painting, certainly having the default button there would be highly desirable.

I know this wasn’t mentioned, it’s just one of those details sculptors miss when making copies.

I think that it's something that only the most experienced sculptors even consider. It isn't really about excitement or even forgetting, they just don't know that its something that they might want to do.
Adding this to a sculpting guide or the pop-up would be invaluable.
