I think all sculptors can agree, taking off thin layers of a block SUCKS. As I was doing it, I was wishing we had a tool like a wood planer!
For this tool idea, we could apply it to the top/bottom/sides of a block and take off ENTIRE layers, perhaps even with options similar to chisels. For selecting a side, it may change to a overlay of green to show what blocks will be planed off to prevent guessing. It would save so much time and effort when making a thin sculpture for some decor items (dividers, wall art, etc.) or even open doors for some flooring choices!
I can picture it now: a cute hand-planer icon... with maybe even a dropdown for size if you don't want to make multiple icons to indicate...
