Hii, if integrating Spotify is an option in the future please consider!! Super hard trying to find original songs on soundcloud (non-remixes), we aren't able to play soundcloud premium songs.. spotify would just be way smoother
add spotify integration

I would love this but not possible.
Game developers cannot natively use or embed Spotify into their games due to strict Terms of Service and copyright licensing laws. Using Spotify's API for in-game music is generally prohibited because it requires public performance rights and commercial licensing, which standard consumer accounts do not cover.
A game can use SoundCloud rather than Spotify for music primarily due to licensing restrictions and API flexibility. Integrating Spotify directly requires commercial licensing agreements that prohibit in-game use, whereas SoundCloud allows developers to embed open-source streams or stream user-generated music.Comment

We already have widgets using Youtube (tvs, vintage radio etc) but it would be nice if interactions worked on them and the video and configuration would properly sync like they did on OG SW.very true, though i think an amazing substitute for SoundCloud could be youtube. so many songs on there. could be amazing
Spotify would be nice but it’s as Jess said, it’s not possible.
Everybody is so all about replacing SoundCloud and not improving it or adding another provider in addition to it. Little thought is put into already existing missions using SoundCloud for music or more importantly, sound effects that you can’t find on other providers like Youtube. So, if SoundCloud is dropped or replaced, that forces those mission makers using it to replace their music/sounds for something else that may not be available. I already get very annoyed if SoundCloud isn’t working for a day or two, just imagine how me or others are going to feel having to go to mission space to mission space fixing everything.
It would also be nice if SV didn’t block some features of SoundCloud. I used to be able to add music directly by the artist that they permitted and now all of a sudden, no sound comes out from those songs but can be heard on the browser. Because of whatever has been done, most of my playlists won’t play in game and I am forced to find another version thats by a third party which may or not be a cover. Thankfully, my sound effects have been left alone. For now.
I know that the biggest part of the problem is that SoundCloud is always updating so it’s hard for SV as an old, outdated game to keep up with it. And copyrights.Comment

I wish the ability to use interactions on the Youtube widgets would be enabled, perhaps even allowing more use of the floor speaker (always bugs for me + the config issue!) and the focus was on repair/improve instead of replace.Comment
