Then: playing missions, attending the 'club', making new friends, creating mission spaces, role-playing, trading, hanging out in some of the featured spaces, gun fights in the town center, making movies/videos...

Now: Nothing. I buy a few items here and there, occasionally do loyalty missions, and then log off. It's not really what it used to be

It's not supposed to be. It's a new game, new development team, new alternative game options, new decade and most importantly, a new YOU. It could never be the same as it used to be; it's just not possible.

I think the source of some people's disappointment is because of the expectation that they can somehow recreate the past. Nostalgia can lure them but won't keep them here because they will never be able to find what they're looking for; past experiences. SV is meant to be a new & different, and hopefully, better experience.

None of those things are the unfolding reality, unfortunately, I am not expecting this game to be exactly like 2008 again; I'm simply waiting for these 'developments' that have been teased to come to fruition and for the place to feel alive.

I think the key to that is actually not making the game an exact replica of SW's development, because that's what ultimately lead to the crash and burn. I'd love the feel of 2008, and the way to get there is to listen to player concerns, suggestions and taking action. Which I genuinely hope they do!

Agreed here. I feel like SV is following SW too closely wrt rare item releases and the obsession with the secondary market as if p2p trading is the most important form of gameplay. They have been neglecting everything else.

They need to release something real and lasting that players can work towards. I like that they introduced new games but unfortunately it was just gambling and only keeps players engaged for minutes at a time. Players need goals that will keep them occupied and entertained for weeks! It can't be missions, crafting, farming, sculpting or battling because those are relics of the SW past. SV needs its own stars!

Back then - I hung out with my friend group in-game 24/7. We did missions together, decorated spaces, celebrated holidays and birthdays, role played, collected items, ran shops together, made new friends, etc.

Now - I sculpt and stock my shop, (Faeriescape Emporium,) redecorate my spaces, and log off. I just don’t feel the same draw I once did... Everything seems to be astronomically more expensive than SW. Missions are often so glitchy on the puffin app I can’t even complete them. Not worth the frustration.
