A: While we understand this was previously an option, we have decided not to offer VIP access for Gold in the Official SmallVerse Store at this time.

That said, we recognize there is interest in this and have discussed a few potential alternatives. These include offering access to VIP features without the Citizen Level (CL) bonus, or making VIP purchasable with Gold on a limited or occasional basis rather than permanently.

This is something we’ll continue to evaluate, and we’ll be sure to share any updates if changes are made in the future.

I feel like this was a major downfall for Smallworlds. Gold has always been relatively easy to earn, and making VIP purchasable gives people less incentive to spend real money on this game to support it. I think adding the option to purchase CL for gold would be a great idea, while still making the purchase of VIP with real currency to be necessary to obtain VIP benefits. Maybe the game should introduce more VIP benefits to give players even further incentive to buy VIP (through the addition of new features, not refining existing ones and making things worse for non-VIP players) - for example, maybe VIP players could have increased loyalty rewards or get more spins on the deluxe wheel (i.e. 5 spins for non-VIP per 250g spent, but then for VIP, maybe giving an additional 2-5 spins per 250g spent--maybe 2 free spins per 6 hours on the free spin), and maybe removing the listing fee on the marketplace for VIP players so they can get full profit. These are just small little features that I could think of, but so much could be done to make sure this game keeps going and doesn't fall down the same path as the original game.
