    March 2026

Thank you for your questions! Five questions were selected from those submitted before the March deadline and responses from the relevant SmallVerse staff are below.

    Penguin Disco asked:
So far, the game has been a faithful recreation of the original, but do you have any plans to expand gameplay in the future, perhaps introducing new types of widgets, interactions, sounds, etc.?

A: So far, our focus has been on making the game as feature-complete as possible while staying true to the original experience, along with expanding the Catalog with our own new items. A big part of our current, short-term focus is also on enhancing the avatar customization experience, with new additions on the way.

One of our main goals moving forward is transitioning the game to a web-based version. This would significantly improve accessibility and create a more consistent experience across all operating systems. How that process goes will also play a big role in determining how quickly we’re able to move into some of our longer-term plans.

Looking ahead, those longer-term goals include reviewing existing widgets and exploring ways to modernize them or potentially transition to new service providers.

    Jessica Alba asked:

I’d like to understand whether there are any specific plans for Brazil, especially in terms of pricing strategy and target audience?

A: We do not currently have any plans to adjust the pricing structure in the Official SmallVerse Store specifically for Brazilian players.

We understand that this can be frustrating; however, implementing region-specific pricing for one group and not others could put the game’s internal economy at risk of abuse, exploitation, or manipulation.

That said, we’re always open to feedback and ideas. We actively review our Suggestion channels and Forum threads, so if you have any suggestions you’d like the community (and our team) to consider, we’d encourage you to share them there.

    ---

    Garota Noob asked:
Do you ever plan to allow VIP access to be purchased with gold?

A: While we understand this was previously an option, we have decided not to offer VIP access for Gold in the Official SmallVerse Store at this time.

That said, we recognize there is interest in this and have discussed a few potential alternatives. These include offering access to VIP features without the Citizen Level (CL) bonus, or making VIP purchasable with Gold on a limited or occasional basis rather than permanently.

This is something we’ll continue to evaluate, and we’ll be sure to share any updates if changes are made in the future.

    Jamie Bondason asked:
What are future plans for community engagement? We've seen the space decorating contest; are there plans to resurrect the SVOscars, perhaps? Or mission making contests?

A: We are planning events and games which provide opportunities for engagement between the SmallVerse team and the community, such as the upcoming Easter event. We are also considering increasing community engagement in other ways. Current early-stage ideas being considered by the Events Team are regular official mini-games, live contests and team participation in both arena and community-run games (if welcomed!). New contests are being planned and will be announced after the Easter event - one of which is a mission making contest.

The community has expressed strong interest in a ‘SVOscars’ event. We would like to develop and release the ‘SVOscars’ contest in the future, however, we are unable to provide an estimated timescale due to the scale of such an event.

    Geno Lindley asked:
Where is SmallVerse centrally located, if, indeed, there actually *IS* an office?

A: SmallVerse does not currently operate out of a physical office, as there hasn’t been a need for one at this stage.

As the project continues to grow, it’s something we may consider in the future. That said, we aim to remain fiscally responsible, so decisions like establishing a physical location are made carefully to ensure resources are being used where they’re most impactful and to support the long-term sustainability of the game.

    April 2026

Thank you for your questions! Five questions were selected from those submitted before the April deadline and responses from the relevant SmallVerse staff are below.

    Noelle Smith asked:
Do you have any plans to add new furniture or clothing to the game? Would be cool to know what plans you have for that part of the game.

A: We’ve already started introducing original SmallVerse furniture into the game, and that’s something we plan to keep expanding on. You’ll be seeing more variety there over time, especially as we continue building out our own style and direction.

Clothing and wearables is a bit more of a longer-term focus for us. We’ve explored it a bit already, but we want to make sure anything we release feels polished and worth it, rather than rushing it out.

That said, we do have some new additions coming pretty soon, so there’s definitely more on the way.

    Athena Lovely asked:
Would the moderators be open to hosting a scheduled, monthly interaction with players in-world?

A: Our Moderation team does spend time in-game here and there, so you’ll definitely run into them and can ask questions when you do. Right now though, we’re not able to support scheduled, recurring meetups like monthly sessions.

A big part of that is making sure Moderators stay fair and unbiased in how they handle situations. Keeping organized interactions tied to official SmallVerse events helps us maintain that balance while still giving players chances to connect with the team.

We love seeing the support for our team, but we also want to make sure we’re doing things the right way.

    Neb Peton asked:
The game appears to be getting quiet. What are the plans to find new players and retain them? January saw lots of new players, with only a few people still playing.

A: Right now, a big focus for us is growing awareness of SmallVerse again. We’re putting more effort into social media than we have in the past, both by increasing the amount of content we share and by introducing activities that are specific to those platforms to help bring in new players.

At the same time, we’re working on improving the First-Time User experience. Getting new players in is one thing, but making sure they understand the game, feel comfortable, and actually stick around is just as important. We want both new and returning players to have a clear path when they log in.

It also genuinely helps when the community is part of that growth. If you’re enjoying the game, telling friends or using the Invite Friends feature goes a long way and helps build a more active player base over time.

We’re actively monitoring how things are trending and adjusting as needed, and we’re always open to feedback. If you have any suggestions you’d like us to explore, make sure to share them with us.

    Ligeia Tepes asked:
Will we be getting new art board sizes and sculpting blocks?

A: Different sizes for graffiti boards are definitely on our radar. It’s not as simple as just scaling them up or down though, since each size needs its own UI adjustments to make sure everything still feels good to use. Because of that, it’ll take a bit of time, but it’s something we’d like to have within the next few months.

As for sculpting blocks, our current focus is on expanding graffiti boards first, especially since there are already multiple sculpture block sizes available in-game. That said, we’re definitely open to expanding that side further if there’s strong interest.

If you have specific sizes you’d like to see for graffiti boards or sculpting blocks, feel free to share them. Just keep in mind we’ll need to balance what’s requested with what’s realistic from a development and usability standpoint.

Creative tools like these are a big part of SmallVerse, so this is something we want to keep improving over time.

    Jazzy Pop asked:
How much money has SV made from its players so far, is it enough to keep things going for a while?

A: We understand why people are curious, but we’re unable to share exact numbers since that’s internal information. That said, SmallVerse is in a healthy position and we’re not at risk of going anywhere anytime soon. We’re continuing to reinvest into the game with new features, content, and improvements, and that’s always our priority.

We’re also really grateful for the support from the community. It’s what allows us to keep growing and building SmallVerse together!

Thank you for your questions! Five questions were selected from those submitted before the May deadline and responses from the relevant SmallVerse staff are below.

      Kissy My asked:
Does SV have any plans in the works for mission makers/player created missions? a few suggestions and concerns have been made, but there hasn't been any SV feedback.

A: We’ve taken note of the feedback shared by our Missions community and have been collaborating internally to come up with ideas that address some of the concerns mission creators are currently facing.

With that said, we are still in the process of finalizing these ideas and working through the logistics of how they would be implemented into SmallVerse. Our goal is to ensure that any changes introduced remain fair, balanced, and require minimal adjustments after release.

      Matt Lawrence asked:
Can you tell us more about who owns SmallVerse? In SmallWorlds we knew the company behind the game, the founders, even the employees. It seems to be more mysterious on here and I'd just like to know who is behind SmallVerse, how they got involved, stuff like that.

A: The anonymity around some Staff members definitely isn’t intended to be mysterious. A lot of it simply comes down to personal privacy and keeping certain internal processes secure so Staff members can comfortably do their work behind the scenes.

That said, we’re generally happy to answer reasonable questions about Staff roles, what different team members help oversee, or how certain areas of the game are managed, as long as it doesn’t cross into personal identity details or sensitive internal processes.

Most of us were players of the original game ourselves, and SmallVerse exists because people genuinely cared about preserving and rebuilding an experience that the community lost very suddenly. A lot of the team became involved simply because they loved the original game and wanted to help bring something meaningful back for the community.

We’ve also intentionally chosen not to maintain a constant in-game Staff presence outside of official SmallVerse events. We don’t want players to feel like they’re being watched or that Staff are intruding on their normal gameplay experience. We want the game world to feel comfortable and community-driven first and foremost.

Even if we don’t publicly spotlight individual team members very often, there are real players and passionate community members behind SmallVerse who care a lot about the game and the people playing it.

      Spectra Stardust asked:
I vaguely remember being able to level up our pets and train them more/buy the poses and accessories. will the contests and pet training come back?

A: We were made aware that the system used to further train pets and purchase additional tricks for them is currently not functioning as intended.

This is something that is on our radar for the Development team to review and address in the future. While we do want to improve and restore systems like these, we also want to be transparent that development priorities are typically handled based on overall impact and current project needs, with core features, content, and high-priority issues often taking precedence as tasks are scheduled.

That said, feedback like this is still valuable to us, and we appreciate players continuing to bring attention to features they’d like to see return.

      --

      Megan Carpenter asked:
Are there any plans to implement an optional play-time notification or session timer feature to assist with time management while in-game? (Similar to Netflix's "are you still watching?")

A: At the moment, this isn’t something we’re actively planning to implement.

A big reason for that is because SmallVerse already has an inactivity timer that removes avatars from a space after they’ve been inactive for a period of time. Because of that, we’ve generally tried to avoid adding features that could unintentionally interrupt gameplay or become frustrating for players.

That said, we do understand why some players would find optional time-management reminders useful, especially for keeping track of longer play sessions. In the big picture, it’s not something we’re ruling out entirely.

We’ll definitely continue monitoring feedback around it though, and if there’s enough interest from the community, it’s something we’d be open to revisiting in the future.

      Ruzha Clay asked:
How will the team maintain the game experience valued by the existing adult community as the game continues to grow? Especially as advertising will typically target younger people/children and will likely influence the direction of future development.

A: We want SmallVerse to feel welcoming to players of all age groups, including both longtime players and newer generations discovering the game for the first time. Inclusivity is important to us, and our goal is to create an environment where different types of players can enjoy the experience together.

At the same time, we absolutely understand the importance of preserving the identity and atmosphere that drew many people here in the first place. Our intention is to deliver an experience that stays as true as possible to the spirit of the original game while still modernizing certain systems and features in ways that make sense today.

Growth won’t change the core direction of what SmallVerse is meant to be. If anything, bringing in more players helps us continue expanding and improving the game for the entire community.
