    Smallverse is a ghost town.

Genuinely, what has happened to this game over the past 2–3 months?

I've been logging on occasionally, and every time I do, the game feels empty. There are barely any fridge games, auctions are quiet, roleplays seem nonexistent, and overall there's very little social interaction. I see "new players" joining, but when I check my friends list, it's mostly people who haven't been active in ages. NOBODY IS STICKING AND STAYING. i've been busy with my studies, so I usually play at night to relax. Back then, nighttime was one of the busiest times u could always find people hosting fridge games or just hanging out and chatting. Now it feels like no one's around. Where did everyone go?Another thing I've noticed is how quiet the staff have been lately. I don't even get excited for updates anymore because they end up being disappointing almost every time. It feels like we get a wave of new players, but then they disappear just as quickly. It's honestly sad because so many of my friends who used to love this game don't even log in anymore. Why isn't the game being promoted more? Why not work with gaming influencers or invest in advertising to bring in new players? It feels like there's very little effort being made to grow the community. The economy is another huge issue. There shouldn't be a situation where people are winning 20 soccer balls or hoarding items nonstop. I even saw a forum post about people using autoclickers on the spin the wheel , leaving it running all day, then reselling everything for easy gold until the items lose all value. Whether it's widespread or not, enough people are talking about it that it's clearly affecting the economy. Players notice these things..we all do.At this point, I'm genuinely worried about the future of the game. With how quiet everything has become, the struggling economy, and the lack of exciting updates, it's hard to see it lasting another year if nothing changes its legit summer, which is usually one of the busiest times for online games, yet this feels like one of the quietest periods I've ever seen. So what's going on? Is there actually a plan to revive the game, or are we just watching it slowly fade away?

if they would better promote the game maybe more people would play and actually stay playing, i used to play smallworlds and had no clue they brought the game back until i came across a tiktok about it. this game was such a big part of my childhood and i hope it thrives again one day!

I don't think that SV would ever have a chance of attracting NEW players until it is able to transition into a browser-based game. I imagine that that is their top priority before they launch any signup drives and initiatives or make improvements to reduce player churn.

They need to make their move FAST because time is against them. If they don't make the transition soon then this is indeed the beginning of the end. Enjoy it while it lasts

I feel like a lot of people are getting priced out of the game unfortunately.

I honestly agree with a lot of what you said. The game has lost the community feeling that made people want to log in. A few months ago, nights were full of fridge games, roleplays, trading, and people hanging out. Now it feels empty, and even new players don't seem to stick around.

The biggest issue is the lack of communication. People have been begging for changes in the suggestions section, but a lot of the responses feel generic instead of like the team is actually listening or trying to work with the community.

At times, it feels like the focus is just keeping the current spenders happy with new drops instead of actually growing the game. Players are starting to feel like the owners are comfortable collecting revenue from the same loyal players rather than investing in advertising, influencers, and ways to bring in a bigger audience. It honestly gives off a "Ricky Banks" type of situation where some players worry the focus is more on benefiting the people at the top than building something bigger for everyone.

Just compare it to MiniMania — they are constantly updating their game, improving performance, have a smoother experience, an app, and active social media presence. Meanwhile, Smallverse feels like it's falling behind, even though it has a lot of potential.

The economy is also a major problem. When people can abuse systems, farm items endlessly, or flood the market, it destroys item value and hurts the players who actually care about collecting and trading.

The sad part is the game still has potential. People aren't complaining because they hate it — they're complaining because they care. But without better communication, meaningful updates, promotion, and a real plan to grow the community, it feels like we're watching the game slowly fade away.

I definitely think limiting fridge game entries has diminished the in-game fun because although going into a e.g. fridge game was a gamble, people enjoyed it and helped player game time increase. A lot of the people who played these games are now gambling in quicker ways such as a 2minute game of uno or a 30second game of dice which gets boring after a while. I think this is also evident with the amount of deluxe wheel spinning that happened recently.

Make this game fun! Get the events team involved in role-plays and fridge games to keep them active! We play this game for 'fun' but there is no longer any 'fun' in the game!

Spooky is 100% right about everybody worrying about the future. Nobody wants to spend money and invest in a game that has no future.

We need to limit the spin wheel, it's hurting the economy badly. It's time to stop the gold sink for 3-4 months. I trust the SV board members will change it sooner or later. sinks usually remove gold from circulation (which would fight inflation BUT it ended up deflation in wrong way.)

Maybe all the fridge game players and shop keepers and gamblers are getting bored and moving on, but the mission making and art communities are still going somewhat, judging from what I've seen of my friend list. Maybe it's because the people who stay are the ones who know they can't just do what they're doing somewhere else. LOTS of games have rares and social aspects and role playing. Only SmallVerse is also a creative outlet for many people.

                          Sigh …

I had several people who kept telling me to join SV.. and after a few months, I finally joined.
It didn’t take me long .. and playing a few wonderful missions, that I was all in ..

The passion I have for missions, playing and creating came back, and it was delightful.
So, I started doing what I love.. Playing and making missions…

Another part I missed was the player interactions… hanging out, doing missions together, playing games together, chatting etc…
Unfortunately, I have found that this version of the game lacks tremendously …

There are mostly little cliques .. shop keepers, people who love to battle, painters…
Sadly for whatever reason, in this version the mission making community is not very social.
Seems most stay locked up alone in spaces and rarely interact with each other, besides the few and infrequent mission tests. Huge disappointment.
Then the people who asked me to join, slowly stopped or rarely play.

Mission creation is down quite a bit just from when I started in Jan. of this year.

Some mission makers have stopped playing after there was an increase in missions being rejected with lame reasons such as “lack of creativity” (as well as couple other reasons for rejection) .. one mission, which was a unique and incredible story that was excellently executed, sadly that very active player was insulted and no longer plays

And holy moses, the hoarding and cost of items in this version are off the charts!

I still log in a couple times a day and do my loyalty.
But, was invited to (yet) another version currently being set up and thought I would check it out also.
While still in the very early set up stages, I am enjoying the small and improved differences and mostly enjoying meeting new people and the social interactions.
It feels more like old SW did when we first started there, but time will tell.
For now, I will do both and hope for the best!

Im a spender on every game I play, but this game is looking very dead at the moment, less than 60 players on right now. I wouldn't look at spending more until these numbers go into high 500+ at least. Not worth me spending on a game next to no one plays.

I played smallworlds from years when I was really young and couldn't spend any money, but I learnt to trade on this game starting from trading the american pie to going up to 150k gold, It taught me a lot of skills I used on other games to get rich on those games through purely flipping items, but now I'm 25 and I love spending money on games. As much as I'd love to support this game, based on the comments I see in forum, it's not breaking any ground in terms of growth. Might spend here or there if I'm bored but wouldn't sink 4-5 figures right now. Please work on promotion, the Instagram advert was nice and it brought me back, just misled me on the activity here.

Would you err... so happen to have a name? So that I can avoid obvs.

To answer the question seriously, I started playing this game in what Americans call "middle school" and I'm in my late-ish twenties now. This game was MUCH of my childhood. What I notice on return is... there just isn't much going on.

Many have played already, so they're taking full advantage of the "head start" they get, making the game feel less like a community and more like an economy. It does often feel very elitist. And as much as I used to not appreciate it much back then, I really miss someone saying 'hi' for no reason or witnessing the popular role-playing community which previously added so much life and entertainment to the game, despite me myself not really being into roleplaying much these days.

I miss how it USED to feel. When we played missions for fun, not just levels. When we bought stuff we thought was cool, not just to re-sell. I get these in themselves are hobbies within the game but I definitely don't bother signing in much.... there's just nothing going on. It's a small circle of people that KNOW the game way too well to have any fun with it because the sole focus is "getting ahead"

Just my two pence. I know many won't agree. I still adore this game, it's just... somewhere I feel I mostly just think about how alive and varied it used to feel. Like an occasional memory I revisit lol. Newbies and veterans, level 0's who dgaf about missions and the arena fanatics. The amount of groups, clubs, conversations taking place everywhere. Places being so packed out you ended up in another 'instance' to your friends. I miss the variation, and quite frankly, I don't really think I want to spend anything more here until the place gets a little more active.
