The Discoverse: Penguin Disco's Comprehensive Mission List

Welcome to The Discoverse, a comprehensive thread of every mission by yours truly!

As my mission making journey has continued to evolve and grow, I thought it would be handy to have one neat little thread dedicated to all of the missions I've created (as I've seen many of my favourite mission makers do as well). This is your one stop-shop for all of my missions, so come back often to see my latest creations! Don't forget to leave your thoughts and feedback... I love hearing from people who've played through my missions, and I'm always open to suggestions.

All missions are approved unless otherwise stated.

THE GOTHIC MISSIONS OF RAVEN MANOR

This trio of dark and spooky missions are set in Raven Manor - a gothic literature museum that once functioned as a retreat in the 18th and 19th centuries for the gothic genre's greatest authors. From Edgar Allan Poe to Mary Shelley, and everyone in between, these missions celebrate the gothic genre's greatest minds.

All three of these missions start in Raven Manor: https://www.smallverse.app/space/d20...b03ca0f59ceb7a

THE TELL TALE HEART - SOCIAL XP

An old man... an evil eye... a cold blooded murder... and a revealing heartbeat. In this mission, you are invited to visit Raven Manor for a very special retelling of The Tell Tale Heart, Edgar Allan Poe's infamous 1843 gothic short story. Here, you'll take on the role of the unreliable narrator as you recount the night you committed murder - all while attempting to prove your sanity. This mission mostly follows Poe's original text, but features a few modern SmallVerse twists.

ECHOES OF THE PAST: PART I - GAMER XP

After the passing of your estranged uncle, you have become the curator of Raven Manor - a gothic literature museum that was used as a retreat for aspiring and established writers in the 18th century. Now, navigating feelings of grief and loneliness, you must uncover the secrets of the museum and your uncle. Part 1 of a two-part story that celebrates the gothic genre and explores how even our darkest moments can be our greatest strengths.

ECHOES OF THE PAST: PART II - ARTIST XP

According to the letter you found from your estranged Uncle Bartholamew, there are six relics hidden around Raven Manor that belonged to some of the greatest gothic writers of all time. What secrets do these relics hold? What can these authors teach you? What else is Raven Manor hiding? You're determined to find out. Part 2 of a two-part story that celebrates the gothic genre and explores how even our darkest moments can be our greatest strengths.

MISSION TO EARTH - SOCIAL XP

The year is 2100, and you are SmallVerse's leading scientist. You have dedicated your life to finding a solution to climate change, which has had catastrophic consequences on the Earth since the modern day. However, there is hope... you've discovered an extra-terrestrial element called Versatillium, which can be used as a powerful source of clean energy that's totally free of greenhouse gas emissions. Today, you plan to launch PROJECT MARS - a project that will save humanity by establishing a colony on Mars to extract Versatillium. But a question still lingers... do the answers to Earth's problems really exist out in space? Or can we find better solutions closer to home? Play "Mission to Earth" to find out!

Mission to Earth is a mission about environmental justice, and it's based on a short film that I helped to write and produce for EnviroCon 2024 at Western University. It's meant to challenge how we approach climate change and think about environmental topics, so I'm very excited to share it all with you here in SmallVerse.

Mission starts in Mission to Earth: https://www.smallverse.app/space/5e0...5272f577a4ef42

High Park Cherry Blossoms - EXPLORER XP

The cherry blossoms (or "Sakura") at High Park attracts tens of thousands of visitors to Toronto very year. Their beauty is simple, yet magnificent, and seeing them in person has been on my bucket list for a long time. In May 2026, I finally got my wish. In this mission, I invite you to take a journey through High Park that parallels my own, where you'll not only marvel at the beauty of the cherry blossoms, but appreciate the wonders of the community and nature that surround you.

Mission starts in High Park - Toronto: https://www.smallverse.app/space/62356ca65d3ac11dad921ce3f6b1a61b

Once Upon a Runtime - EXPLORER XP

How did SmallVerse come to be? What keeps it running? Was it always this way?

Deep in the heart of SmallVerse's servers, a glowing orb holds the secret of how it all began: a lifeless city called Apathy, a girl who dared to be different, and a journey that would rewrite an entire world. Her name was Hope, and this is the story of how she risked everything to defy evil and fight for what she believed in.

This mission was created for the "Relics & Reckonings" Contest in May 2026.

Mission starts in The CPU - Once Upon a Runtime: https://www.smallverse.app/space/7d5...58c168fd47eb62

Note to moderators... Some of this text is copied over from past threads I've created. I promise I'm not trying to spam lol! My intention is to make this the sole thread I use to post about my missions, so if you need to close and/or merge my other posts to avoid repetition, please do whatever you need to do <3

I think a lot of thought went into Mission to Earth. I really like the moral dilemma presented in the mission.

Thank you so much! Yes, that one means a lot to me, and I really wanted to share that message of environmental justice without being too direct or black and white about it.

Penguin, Once Upon a Runtime was genius. You broke down some really complex ideas, like data mining, into tangible visual scenes where players are equipped to see the big picture without needing the technical expertise to understand it. It's obvious a lot of time went into it to achieve what you did. Once again, you have created another mission that not just provides a heartfelt story, but teaches people something relevant about the current state of the world.

Thank you for your creativity and originality. Looking forward to seeing more missions.

I've just played your Once Upon a Runtime mission and I think it's my new favourite mission across both Smallworlds and Smallverse! Absolutely loved every detail about it!

The story was well thought out, easy to follow and felt engaging the whole way throughout! I adored the interactions and the final "battle" at the end was intricately thought out and designed, also loved all the music in Apathy, especially the 'Rattlesnake' theme
                          Really fabulous work honestly, Penguin!

This will easily place in the top 3, if not win the whole contest as well as be a regular play for me, so keep it up!!
