Figured I'd start a new thread to share my growing collection of missions at Raven Manor...
THE BACKSTORY:
Raven Manor is a museum of gothic literature that was once used as a retreat for established and aspiring writers in the 18th and 19th century. As such, all the missions in this space celebrate the gothic genre, including both retellings of established classics and original stories that provide my own take on the theme.
THE TELL TALE HEART
Approved Mission! Social XP - This is a retelling of Edgar Allan Poe’s 1843 short story, The Tell Tale Heart. You'll take on the role of the unreliable narrator as you recount the night you murdered an innocent old man - all while trying to prove your sanity! The story mostly relies on Poe's original text... but with a few modern SmallVerse twists and interactive gags!
ECHOES OF THE PAST: PART I
Approved Mission! Gamer XP - Following the passing of your estranged uncle, you are made the curator of Raven Manor. In your new role, you must navigate feelings of loneliness and grief as you uncover the museum's secrets... and the truth about your mysterious uncle. This is Part 1 of what will be a two part story that celebrates the gothic genre and explores how even our darkness moments can become our greatest strengths.
ECHOES OF THE PAST: PART II
Approved Mission! Artist XP - According to the letter you found from your estranged Uncle Bartholamew, there are six relics hidden around Raven Manor that belonged to some of the greatest gothic writers of all time. What secrets do these relics hold? What can these authors teach you? What else is Raven Manor hiding? You're determined to find out.
