A Neverending Story - stuck

I am stuck on the "Energizer" task. I've collected the 5 diamonds required by the previous task, but when I go back to the courtyard and interact with the star wand, nothing happens. Was anyone else able to complete this or could it be a bug?

I have done this mission multiple times and complete it every time. You have to pull the levers after collecting the diamonds located just outside each portal . Hope this helps as it is a fun mission.
