Sprinklers: where to buy?

My friend and I want to buy a sprinkler but we don't know where they are sold. We went to Garden Life but it's not there. How big of an area does the sprinkler water?

Sprinklers are a craftable item and I believe they each have different types of usability. There are different levels of sprinklers. You can make a sprinkler with the advanced crafting table or buy one from a player. Staff may be able to indicate the difference in usability for each sprinkler type: basic (green), advanced (blue), professional (orange) and elite (red)

Kitteh, the information provided by Noctus is correct.

In order to craft an automated sprinkler you must be level 125 crafter for the Advanced Sprinkler, level 150 crafter for the Professional Sprinler, and level 175 crafter for the Elite Sprinkler. As a reminder you can read more in the announcement thread. The thread includes the ingredient requirements for each sprinkler. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

are the sprinklers functional?
my friend bought the basic sprinkler and it wasn't watering his plants. so he gifted it to me and I placed it near my dehydrated plants and turned it on but it didn't water them.
do you have to wait a certain amount of minutes til it waters the plants?
how far around does the water spray and is it bigger the higher you go with the different sprinklers?

penny, I found the thread for the sprinklers but it doesn't mention the basic sprinkler. does that one not water the plants?

Yes Kitteh, the green sprinkler does not have any function it is simply a base item. I have attached an image which shows functional sprinklers highlighted in green.
