How to add to activity bar?

Im not sure how to add buttons to the activity bar or what exactly the activity bar is? Can someone give me a step by step?

Roman, I believe you are referring to the action bar? If so, you would need to drag usable/wearable items into the action bar from your inventory. The activity bar is a quick and easy method to equip an item or use magic/weapons without having to scroll through numerous pages in your inventory.
