I have been playing this game for a few weeks now, despite completing weekly missions/tasks and crafting etc my citizen level is reading at level 1 with 20 citizen points and has never increased. Is this a glitch and how do I sort it?? thank you in advance

Ruchelle, welcome to SmallVerse, we hope you have been enjoying the game so far. Citizen Levels are separate from your overall Primary XP Level.
Primary XP level is your "blue star level" which is increased by, as you rightfully said, completing missions, the Loyalty Challenge, crafting, farming, and interacting with widgets. Please see this thread for more information about Skill Levels & XP.
Citizen Levels can be increased earning Citizen Points by in inviting friends or purchasing Citizen Levels through packages on the SmallVerse Store. Please see this thread for more information about Citizen Points & Levels.
The green box shows my Citizen Level. The yellow box shows my Primary XP Level.
Navigate to Me -> XP (blue star) as shown in the green box in the image to view your Primary XP Level and your individual skill pathway levels.
​Click the purple shield with the 'C' as shown in the yellow box to view your current number of Citizen Points, your Citizen Level, and other information about your Citizen Level/Points.
