Not sure if this is a user error issue or a system issue, but every time I go to "adopt a pet" it let's me pick the pet and then transports me to the training area. There was never anything but signs there. I tried it again last night after getting VIP and this time there was an avatar there, but no pet to be seen. I have a feeling it's user error since there weren't any obvious posts in the forum about it. Which brings up another thing...a search feature on the main part of the forum would be nice and not just a search when already within a topic.

Maeve, is the issue that the pet does not appear, the mission does not initiate, or both? Have you attempted any troubleshooting steps including clearing your cache? -
All of the above. I have cleared the cache everyday because of all the issues it's been having lately and that didn't help. How does the mission initiate? I tried clicking on the avatar at the "training" area and on all the signs to no avail. I am completely willing to believe this could be user error, but I have tried everything I can think of.Comment

I have checked our records and there is no record of any pets created on your account. It appears the adoption process has not been successful, are you creating your pet via the profile page or in-world?Comment

I've tried it as well both from in-world and from the profile page. It takes me to the adopt pet screen, I pick a cat, give it a name, click adopt and then it loads me in the pet training space, but it's just me. No pet.Comment

I tried both in world and the profile page to no avail every time I've attempted it, which has been daily since I joined. Now after seeing your latest response I went and tried again and as soon as I hit create it took me to the training center and there was my pet for the first time next to me it triggered the training mission. However, I was there when Claude did it and when he arrived there wasn't a pet in sight. This was also after he did multiple attempts to even get to the point of creation without it being buggy and doing nothing but erroring out. There have been many others having this issue. I believe it is a bug on your end after it finally working today as every previous attempt was done the same way as it was done tonight to fruition.
Just a suggestion, but I would think about making a sticky in the forums to help new users and explain the process because I only knew because we're all previous SW players.
Regardless, thank you for whatever was done to make my little Bean a reality!Comment

Thank you for the update. I think you make a valid suggestion and I would recommend posting it in the Suggestions category. Should you encounter any further issues please do let us know.Comment

I've tried several more times and each time I go through the process of selecting a cat, naming it and hitting next. Each time I wind up transported to the Pet Training area with no pet. That's going through the in-world process. For whatever reason the one in the Profile screen isn't working. The little pop-up comes up but clicking adopt pet from there does nothing. The one in world at least brings me to the create a pet screen but then when I hit next it transports me alone and cat-less.Comment

Hi everyone,
I'm sorry you're experiencing issues with pet adoption. At this time, pets can only be adopted from within the game world. Once your pet has been created, you can care for it from the Profile page.
I tested pet creation in-game and was able to successfully create a pet. The pet appeared with me in the Pet Training space, and the Pet Training Mission started correctly as well.
If your pet does not appear after creation, please try opening the adoption panel again and creating the pet using the same name. You may also want to clear your cache and try again, as this can sometimes resolve issues like this.
If the problem continues, please let us know and we'll be happy to investigate further.
Thank you!

Hi Mya,
I've been trying to do pet creation using the in-game adoption. I've tried clearing my cache and re-doing it. Each time I just arrive at the Pet Training space with no pet and the Pet Training Mission doesn't start (probably because there's no pet with me). The avadroid is there and welcomes me, but I've got no pet with me.Comment

Claude, can you confirm whether you have also tried deleting and reinstalling the App? I will attach the full instructions for clearing cache as it's important each step is followed in order for it to be effective.Hi Mya,

For Windows Devices:
We recommend starting by logging out of SmallVerse and logging back in, as this can often resolve minor issues. If the problem persists after doing so, please proceed with the steps below to clear your cache:- Close SmallVerse completely.
- Press the Windows button in the bottom-left corner of your screen.
- Type %appdata% into the search bar and press Enter.
- In the folder that opens, locate and delete the SmallVerse folder.
- Open your Recycle Bin and delete the SmallVerse folder from there as well.
- Reopen SmallVerse and try again.
For macOS Devices:- Simply uninstall SmallVerse and then reinstall it using the following link:

I'm using Linux, not MacOS or Windows. I have attempted clearing cache by doing the following:
# Close SmallVerse first, then:
rm -rf ~/.config/SmallVerse
rm -rf ~/.cache/SmallVerse
I haven't uninstalled and reinstalled it yet. I suppose that'll be my next try:
sudo apt remove --purge smallverse
rm -rf ~/.config/SmallVerse ~/.cache/SmallVerse
And then I'll reinstall it.Comment
