If I put the Lantern Light out in a space, then click to "hold" it, I can hold it indefinitely.
If I "Use" if from my inventory, I can only hold it for about 6 seconds and then my avatar is no longer holding it.

Edit: Okay upon further testing, it gets even stranger. I put the lantern out in my space. Click to hold it. The lantern disappears from my space and goes to my hand. When go into my inventory to stop holding it, the "use" button is there (not remove), but when I click the "use" button (in inventory), it disappears from my avatar holding it, as though the button was the "remove" button. I go to put it back out in my space and leave my space. When I arrive in another space, I am back to holding the lantern! If I go back to the original space where the lantern has been placed, it shows the lantern out in the space *AND* I am holding it!!!!
