    Mission task glitch

I have been trying and failing to make a task in a mission I am currently building work but, no matter what I do, it will not complete the objective it is programmed to.

In summary: I have an island/space called The Kingdom of Fangorn, I have one approved mission here so far (in the Academy area) and I am working on the second (in the Tavern area). What's occurring is this: the mission itself has 20 tasks in total. Some of them are completed via dialogue, others actions, etc. All of them work fine. The issue I am experiencing is with Task 6, titled Uh Oh, where the player is directed to say 'A blueberry? What on earth are you talking about?', after which the task should complete as normal.

Instead, what's happening is, for some reason: the text from the next dialogue task (Task 7) is being swapped around with Task 6, as is Task 8 (like musical chairs but with dialogue). Even when re-setting the correct text, the task will not complete.

For clarity, there are no other interactions set besides dialogue for this task to complete, and there is no other task/item interaction overlap with the other mission taking place in the space (as I said above, it takes place in an entirely different area).

Apparently, I am not the only one to whom this has occurred. It seems to be a current issue. The problem is, I have no idea how to resolve it. I have tried refreshing, deleting and re-setting the task by creating it again and moving it back up to its correct place in the order, the works.

Would appreciate this to be resolved, as it's not only frustrating, but preventing me from submitting my mission for approval.

while I have had what you describe happen.. the overlap.. so bizarre..
I have had tasks not work, removed, reset and so on... to the point I have removed the original task and action and just changed it entirely.. ie change talking to emote LOL
I have seen something like this when testing a mission once... wasnt sure if it was just me

Just out of curiousity, in no way any expert..
do any of the tasks/interactions have delays?
    They are ALL speaking tasks?

It's very odd, I agree! No, none of my interactions/tasks have delays. And those three are speaking tasks - the others are other types of interaction, from emotes to clicking items. I really hope this is fixed at some point! I just can't progress and get people to try the mission until it's resolved. Very frustrating indeed

OK, this is officially driving me crackers. I have deleted the mission, re-done it, and the same thing has happened on that task alone. Please can someone fix this issue because I feel like I'm going slowly mad

Just by curiosity, are the speaking task completions done within the CMP (where you write the mission) set for single task updates as complete by saying something or are they interactions programmed on items themselves within the space? And is it swapping the task order from what is shown on the CMP or the actual task titles on programmed interactions getting swapped one for another (within the space). Is it only say lines being swapped?

Asking more specifics so Mods can help you. Perhaps you can post screenshots of the update interactions/CMP programming where it is having an issue for that/those say lines.

If you are putting the completion task by saying something in the CMP, I would suggest trying to put the interaction on an item for the update instead and try using key words without any punctuation to see if the punctuation or word selection is part of the issue. I have done it this way in my missions and have never had these issues apart from the bug I previously told you about (if not sharing items between missions, this one would be unrelated) I do not ever use the CMP itself by completing say lines, I can’t remember if it was here or MM (probably MM) but it was buggy. I always program my say line updates on an item from within the space instead.

Thanks for your reply, Aribella! And sorry for the late response. Thankfully, I've now tried linking the completion of the dialogue task to an item and it's working - hooray! But yes, for all the dialogue tasks, I've been working within the CMP. None of the dialogue tasks were programmed on items - they were all within the CMP, clean and simple, which is why I found it so odd. And when they were swapping around - it wasn't the task that was being swapped but the dialogue of one task being swapped with the one below it, and so on. I've never had this happen before, but it seems I'm not the only one, which is good in terms of it pointing to what I am certain is a glitch. I really hope they fix it
