The chat and the bar where it says “you” spaces” etc is not showing up so I am unable to complete the tasks needed for typing, etc.

Gameplay in the Puffin browser differs from scaling on a latop/desktop device. The only advice I can give you is to toggling the 'Request desktop site' setting on the right hand side. It may be that your on-screen keyboard is covering the panels, if you navigate on the right hand side you can click to toggle the keyboard on and off.
