Never Recieved my furniture back after selling

I sold a Prairie Farmhouse for $6k and didn't remove my furniture, I did not get any of my furniture back after selling my house. i had a lot of money and time put into those items and am confused why they did not go back into my inventory since the house was 6k not the furniture.
