So whenever I watch tv and get out it deletes the playlist because this error keeps popping up. Also I'm not sure if a similar topic already exists because I don't see a option to search on the forum. This would be helpful to reduce duplicate topics.

It did save (no error) when I used edit > configure but now it's still not showing on the TV. Before, I was saving it while in the TV using "save playlist as default" but when I exited it got deleted. While being in TV, it also doesn't update the default playlist at all even though the error is gone.
Main issues:
1. Both ways should update the default playlist
2. Videos should stay saved on the TV
3. Fix videos expanding vertically instead being revealed by clicking the arrow

I’ve been having an issue with trying to save videos on tvs for a good year now. I have had countless times where I have had to tinker a lot to be able to save anything and the only ones I have had less issues with are the white console tv (like the basic one we receive) and the small vintage media player (antiquey thing) and follow the same steps.
1. Enter configuration and check users can add to playlist (remove default button or set security if in publicly used space) and maybe check the autoplay video option though nothing is selected. Click save.
2. Search and add a couple videos, 3 max, (attempt for any more usually gives me saving errors) from entering the widget itself (viewing). Save. This usually allows me to save successfully.
3. Refresh the space or pick up and set down the tv to make sure the playlist actually saved and won’t disappear once the space resets.
Errors :
If I try adding videos while inside the configuration settings, it will successfully search and add them, however, there isn’t always a visibly loaded thumbnail view of that video later after I exit configuration.
When trying to view the playlist to watch a video (entering the widget) after adding videos through configuration, it will show ie 2 videos available but the screen itself is black. There is no video at all to show. In order to actually show the video, I would have to remove the videos through configuration and save and then re-enter the widget to add and save them that way. Then I can watch them.
If I want to remove a video or for some reason it’s not working, I remove the videos through configuration and enter the widget to add a playlist as I had gotten it to work before and I can search videos, but have no ability to add them. The + is there and the configuration is checked to add to playlist, but the + does nothing. It’s like an add once and done attempt. I can do nothing else with the widget other than perhaps refund it and buy a new one to have something functional again.
There are also times where configuration settings won’t save at all. Like on the largest wall tv (recently at least for me) or on the vintage radio (that thing is useless and not functional at all, I don’t think I was even able to load the configuration the last time I attempted to) You can refresh or pick up the widget and nothing at all is saved. I did try to mess with the largest wall tv recently by removing it and setting it out again after trying to add videos and I kept getting spammed with a red widget error much like the magazines do where they can’t be loaded.
Imo, for playlist saving issues, it seems to me like the video and configuration settings/saves aren’t properly synced or perhaps an issue with the saving ability itself.
Please fix these issues and restore them to the proper original functionality that SW had. It’s quite frustrating when widgets like this doesn’t work where it affects our mission creating or makes us depend on outside sources like Spotify because our media widgets don’t work. It would be nice to program interactions on them too to be able to control playback on the player. I have had to rely on Soundcloud widgets for mission making purposes since I have no trouble searching or adding a playlist, despite any conflicts/updates Soundcloud may make. (though it can be annoying) At least SoundCloud widgets work, unlike Youtube.
I think it would be more helpful to know what specific Youtube widgets that we are having issues with and what ones are working more consistently with less playlist/saving issues. It can make a difference.Last edited by Aribella Lafonte; 03-18-2026, 06:09 PM.Comment
