Speech on Mission

For the majority of missions I do I get to a certain point where the text I have to say doesn’t register. Ps. I am typing the words/sentences correctly.

Courtney, can you confirm if you have completed all other tasks in the taskcard when this issue occurs? Are you making sure you are using punctuation correctly? Does this occur in both official and player-made missions?

Yes. When I start a mission the Interaction tasks are fine and I’m able to do a couple speech tasks but then after it stops registering what I’m saying. I am using all the correct grammar and punctuation too. It is both official and player made.

Courtney & Des, have you tried clearing your cache files?


For Windows Devices:
We recommend starting by logging out of SmallVerse and logging back in, as this can often resolve minor issues. If the problem persists after doing so, please proceed with the steps below to clear your cache:

1. Close SmallVerse completely.
2. Press the Windows button in the bottom-left corner of your screen.
3. Type %appdata% into the search bar and press Enter.
4. In the folder that opens, locate and delete the SmallVerse folder.
5. Open your Recycle Bin and delete the SmallVerse folder from there as well.
6. Reopen SmallVerse and try again.

For macOS Devices:

1. Simply uninstall SmallVerse and then reinstall it using the following link:

Thanks for the reply. I mainly have the issue on puffin brower on my Ipad. Missions seem to be working fine on my PC.

Courtney, unfortunately if you are using an iPad on Puffin Web Browser you may experience issues that are isolated to Puffin. In this case, the only advice I can offer to you would be in relation to the keyboard and using apostrophes. The regular apostrophe looks like this ' whereas the apostrophe on iOS keyboards looks like this ’. If your text contains an apostrophe you will need to hold down the apostrophe on the keyboard and switch it to the '. I can no longer open your screenshots but I do hope this is helpful.
