I'm sure it's a known bug by now, but if you buy a certain plant in gold IE azure trumpet, it comes out in token refund after harvesting.

Kira, this is intentional. You can purchase the seeds in gold, plant it, and sell it for gold once matured. However, harvesting the plant will not produce gold refundable seeds. A successful harvest will produce three seeds, those all being gold refundabale would not be proportionate. The system operated in the same way in the original iteration of the game.
