Chair is glitched

For the last few days, me and some friends have been trying to do the "Stellantis" mission but when we click on the chair, nothing happens. I don't think this is caused by the owner because the 'sit' button is the original SV button/function but it doesn't do anything even when you double click and doesn't say this action is unavailable.

Yes, I've walked all around it, tried double clicking it and tried pressing it normally. I play this mission every week and have no problems but suddenly my friends and I cannot use it - I also tried it again today with no luck.

Is the problem with the chair not updating the task that uses the chair or is the chair in an instanced space and not allowing you to sit down in it like it is being used by another person?

I ask this also because for some time now, I would be unable to sit in a chair if an NPC sat in it previously during the duration of playing the mission and I would have to choose another chair, like in one of the coffee shop missions. I would get no error telling me someone is sitting in the chair, it just wouldn’t let me use the button to sit (even when it was present) and the only change to that chair was the NPC being on auto mode and had sat in that chair minutes before.

So it's not the fact the chair isn't updating or that the interaction is wrong, it's the fact that when you press it or double click it, it physically does nothing at all and shows no error message or unavailability message but the actual button is the original 'sit' button that SV puts on the item. Even if it had security on it or the default button wasn't ticked, the 'sit' button wouldn't appear like in the picture.

The space IS instanced so I don't know if that possibly contributes to this error. Only 1 person is allowed in the space at a time and I was in instance 1 by myself with no other instances open when I decided to double check this. There is also no NPCs in the space.

I did check the mission space myself and I wasn't able to interact with the chair either despite having the default sit button available to me. I was the only one in the space and checking instances, there was nobody in other instances either. I also bought my own school chair to check if I was able to sit in it and I was, so the issue seems to be this particular chair in the mission space, for whatever reason.

I also rechecked a different mission where I was having my own issues with chairs and the NPC sitting situation seems to be fixed.

I agree with the assessments that have been made so far. The chair appears to be functioning as intended in all other situations, and this seems to be isolated to this specific chair. I took a closer look at it myself but was unable to identify any issues at this time.

I would recommend reaching out to the mission creator or space owner and asking them to remove and replace the chair to see if that resolves the issue. Since this is a player-owned space, we're unable to make changes without the owner's permission unless the content is in violation of our Community Guidelines.

If any additional information is observed or the issue continues after replacing the chair, please update us here and we'll be happy to investigate further.

Yes, when I try to remove the chair it just says someone is currently using this item.

I am having the same problem.
It is my mission and my space. I can not sit, nor move, nor remove the bed. It says someone is using it.
I tried changing it to instanced with one per instance and it still wouldn't let me sit, when I switched it back to non instanced it still says someone is using it.
There are no npcs in the space.

I am heartbroken that my mission that I was so proud of is broken and I can't fix it.

Edit - The last successful play of the mission was June 22 '26 at 12:42

Edit2 - The bed is still glitched but the mission task is fixed with a sit* button instead for those tasks and interactions.

The bed is now back in the mission space, but it STILL says someone is sitting on it and cant be moved again.
I have doubled up the interactions so that they all work with the default sit OR the sit* button.
I have also added a teleport avatar across space if they sit there for more than fifty seconds.
We will just leave it as it is for now, and maybe someday in the future avatars will again be able to actually SIT on the bed. SIGH.

A day at the dentist mission, the chair nearest the bathroom had this problem too. Luckily there is a second chair so the mission is still working.
