Thank you for your questions! Five questions were selected from those submitted before the March deadline and responses from the relevant SmallVerse staff are below.

    Penguin Disco asked:
So far, the game has been a faithful recreation of the original, but do you have any plans to expand gameplay in the future, perhaps introducing new types of widgets, interactions, sounds, etc.?

A: So far, our focus has been on making the game as feature-complete as possible while staying true to the original experience, along with expanding the Catalog with our own new items. A big part of our current, short-term focus is also on enhancing the avatar customization experience, with new additions on the way.

One of our main goals moving forward is transitioning the game to a web-based version. This would significantly improve accessibility and create a more consistent experience across all operating systems. How that process goes will also play a big role in determining how quickly we’re able to move into some of our longer-term plans.

Looking ahead, those longer-term goals include reviewing existing widgets and exploring ways to modernize them or potentially transition to new service providers.

    Jessica Alba asked:

I’d like to understand whether there are any specific plans for Brazil, especially in terms of pricing strategy and target audience?

A: We do not currently have any plans to adjust the pricing structure in the Official SmallVerse Store specifically for Brazilian players.

We understand that this can be frustrating; however, implementing region-specific pricing for one group and not others could put the game’s internal economy at risk of abuse, exploitation, or manipulation.

That said, we’re always open to feedback and ideas. We actively review our Suggestion channels and Forum threads, so if you have any suggestions you’d like the community (and our team) to consider, we’d encourage you to share them there.

    Garota Noob asked:
Do you ever plan to allow VIP access to be purchased with gold?

A: While we understand this was previously an option, we have decided not to offer VIP access for Gold in the Official SmallVerse Store at this time.

That said, we recognize there is interest in this and have discussed a few potential alternatives. These include offering access to VIP features without the Citizen Level (CL) bonus, or making VIP purchasable with Gold on a limited or occasional basis rather than permanently.

This is something we’ll continue to evaluate, and we’ll be sure to share any updates if changes are made in the future.

    Jamie Bondason asked:
What are future plans for community engagement? We've seen the space decorating contest; are there plans to resurrect the SVOscars, perhaps? Or mission making contests?

A: We are planning events and games which provide opportunities for engagement between the SmallVerse team and the community, such as the upcoming Easter event. We are also considering increasing community engagement in other ways. Current early-stage ideas being considered by the Events Team are regular official mini-games, live contests and team participation in both arena and community-run games (if welcomed!). New contests are being planned and will be announced after the Easter event - one of which is a mission making contest.

The community has expressed strong interest in a ‘SVOscars’ event. We would like to develop and release the ‘SVOscars’ contest in the future, however, we are unable to provide an estimated timescale due to the scale of such an event.

    Geno Lindley asked:
Where is SmallVerse centrally located, if, indeed, there actually *IS* an office?

A: SmallVerse does not currently operate out of a physical office, as there hasn’t been a need for one at this stage.

As the project continues to grow, it’s something we may consider in the future. That said, we aim to remain fiscally responsible, so decisions like establishing a physical location are made carefully to ensure resources are being used where they’re most impactful and to support the long-term sustainability of the game.
