It didn't use to happen before, The space completely freezes, no buttons, no clicks work. And upon a reload I don't get my explorer exp either.

After summoning my NPC, I went into its clothing selection and was going to make a new outfit, but I canceled and then picked up my NPC. After I did this, it froze my screen up, completely.
